Chris Cakes History

Chris Cakes began way back in 1969 when pancake pioneer Loren Christiansen brought breakfast to life in Pocahontas, Iowa with a spatula in one hand and a joke in the other. Since then, this quirky idea has grown into something much bigger… a catering experience people actually look forward to.

The griddle torch has passed through many hands over the decades. Each one added their own flair, their own flips, and their own take on how to turn pancakes into pure entertainment.
